Land Committee

Members of the Land committee work on various aspects of land protection or stewardship (this is really two committees we have combined into one for now). Stewardship involves site management and maintenance such as invasive species removal and mowing schedules. Land conservation involves permanent protection of land as wildlife habitat; you will be involved in assessing and assisting land acquisitions or finding creative ways to assist other protection efforts (ex: state purchases, landowner incentives). Members should be positive, open-minded and committed to conserving land for endangered and threatened grassland birds.
